IDA COUNTY 4-H FOUNDATION EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS Please review the requirements for the Ida County 4-H Foundation Educational Scholarship. Selection Process Scholarship Applications may be picked up at the Extension Office or online at the Ida County Extension website under the “Ida County 4-H & Youth” tab and are due April 1, 2016. The final record book will be due by the deadline provided by the Extension Office. Scholarship Applications will be reviewed by the 4-H Scholarship Committee to determine which applicants are eligible and how much each will receive. Announcement of Scholarship Awards will be made during the school award’s program in May. Scholarship recipients may choose to have their scholarship paid at the beginning of their “first year, second semester” or at the beginning of their second year of college. All scholarship recipients must show proof of at least a 2.0 grade point average for their 1st semester or 1st year of college. The final record book must be submitted by the deadline provided by the Extension Office to be eligible. Payment will be a check made directly to the school, but delivered to the 4-H’er. Eligibility Requirements To have been in 4-H for 5 years, including junior and senior years in high school. To have exhibited at the Ida County Fair, including at least one Communications Exhibit. (Communications Exhibit information found in Fair book). To have completed a record book for 5 years, including junior and senior years in high school. To have served in a leadership role, such as club officer or youth council member. To have participated in a community service project (does not have to be exhibited at fair but must be in Record Book). 4-H’er must submit a 4-H Educational Scholarship Application Form. To have participated in the following fundraising efforts during junior and senior years of 4-H: 1. Participated in the county fundraiser 2.
