As of 5/15/10, the Swiss Franc is worth about $0.90; our budget assumes $1.00. The euro
is worth about $1.27 and our budget assumes $1.50. All accommodations, food, and
transportation will be paid in local currencies, sometimes in advance from the US. We
expect to be able to use charge cards and ATM machines for everything we need to pay
there, rather than having to carry cash into the country. Despite the trip's bargain price,
our budget allows a large contingency, to be refunded (of course) if not needed.
Deposits are required at most of the huts but are refundable if the reservation is cancelled
at least a week in advance.
A week before the date of the reservation.

Refunds will be given to the extent that it will not raise the cost to the other participants.
