touring center skiiers.

While the main thrust is to get a continuing gauge of the coefficient of friction of skis
across powder snow, we will also be looking at why snow is white, what factors affect
the shape of snow crystals, and what a 6 pointed star shaped snow crystal is called. We
will also learn more about avalanche terrain and safety while we carefully avoid it.

If cell coverage is available, use this to contact SAR personnel. Leaders, as Nordic
Patrollers, have extensive equipment with them, and continuously practice back-country
extrication.
