Executive summary Please provide a brief description of the trip and the activities planned. Daily walks through the numerous cultural & architectural highlights of Paris, including extended exploring of the masterpieces on display at the Musee d’Orsay & the Louvre, window shopping along the Champs D’Elysees, a “sprint” or more sedate elevator ride up the Eiffel Tower, strolling through the city parks/gardens & along the Seine River, and grazing our way through the neighborhood cafes, brasseries, & markets. All meals, except breakfast, will be at the cost of the participant. Leaders will select an area to stay where there is a large variety of reasonable restaurants where English is understood, as we will not take most dinners as a whole group. We do plan, however, to offer participants the opportunity to eat in rotating shifts of smaller groups at restaurants of leaders’ choosing, and to include an introduction to French language and culture. We will also take at least 2 day trips outside of Paris, including visits to the Chateaux of Versailles and Fountainbleu.
