Changes include:
• Updates to application guide instructions for preparing research
strategy attachment.
• “Authentication of Key Biological and/or Chemical Resources”

• Additional rigor and transparency questions reviewers will be
asked to consider when reviewing applications.

Additional NIH Information…
The NIH has recently reminded us that only changes made
to key personnel named in the Notice of Award (not the
application) will require NIH prior approval.
OPAM will still make note of, and approve changes to,
personnel identified as “key” by OHSU, but who are not
named in the NOA.

The NSF has released a revised version of the NSF
Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide
(PAPPG).
The new PAPPG will be effective for proposals submitted, or
due, on or after January 25, 2016.

• IRB Coordinators can’t make changes to the Smart Form
for you.
• HelpText now available with lots of good info.
• UPs and PDs now combined and called ‘RNI’.
• Routine ‘Close to enrollment’ happens in eCRIS, not eIRB.
• Terminology Alert!
– ‘Terminate’ now called ‘Close’, at which point it can be
found in the ‘Archived’ list.
