Important Note Regarding “Financial Support” Requirement for U.S. Visa:
After you are admitted, we will need a bank statement in English and on original bank letterhead or
containing an official bank stamp with signature and in your name showing you have sufficient funds to cover
living expenses here. If you must use a bank statement from another person, such as your parent, you must submit
an original letter of support (both in English) from that person stating the actual dollar amount, and a letter from the
person stating that it will be used to support you during your studies at Washington University.
For U.S. visa purposes, you must be able to demonstrate that you have at least $9,525 at your
disposal for one semester or $19,050 at your disposal for the full academic year.
If your school is an exchange partner of Washington University, there is no tuition charge for your semester
at Washington University School of Law.
