The Goal
The goal of the study is to explore the effects of CBRT
on students’ reading ability and reading interest in an
English language school since several studies were
conducted to explore the effects of Readers Theater at
all school levels, but none of the studies aimed to
investigate how students’ reading ability and interest
was influenced in a cram school by CBRT in Taiwan.
Research Questions
1.Does CBRT instruction facilitate the students’ reading
ability?
2.What are the effects on the students’ reading ability
through CBRT teaching method?
Repeated-Measures ANOVA
A statistical program of Repeated-Measures ANOVA is used to
analyze the score data gathered form their pre-test and posttest for both groups to answer research question one and two.
1. There are more than two variables.
2. These variables are independent variables and are categorized:
(a) They are within-groups, the same participants are tested
more than once, for example: a pre-test and a post-test. In
other words, within-groups IV makes a division including at
least 2 scores for each participant.
(b) They are between-groups, splitting people and each is
found in only one group, for example: the experimental
group and the control group.
3. There is one continuous variable which is dependent.
