January 7th, 2016 Dear MMEMS Band and Chorus parents, The band and chorus students will be running a gourmet popcorn fundraiser in order to raise funds for an end-of-the-year field trip for the music department. In order to participate in the music field trip, all band and chorus students must participate in at least one fundraising event. Fundraiser packets from Popcorn Palace were handed out on Wednesday, January 5th and should have come home with homework folders by now. All fundraiser order forms and collected monies should be returned in a sealed envelope and marked with your student’s name and homeroom, by Monday, February 1st. All checks should be made payable to “HASD Student Activities,” with the words “band and chorus” in the memo. All popcorn orders will be distributed from the main office on Wednesday, February 17th between 4:00-4:45pm. According to HASD board policy, a parent or guardian must be present to pick up the popcorn. No student will be allowed to take popcorn on the bus or with them, as a walker. As an added incentive: The top student seller from both the band and chorus, will receive a $25.00 gift card (from the place of their choosing,) donated by Miss Gerhard and Miss Stiff.
