Book Report Project Ideas You are required to complete one project per quarter. If you do more than one book report, you may choose the book you liked best for the project. If you only do one book report, you must complete a project for that book. (Remember: Doing more than one book report does earn you extra credit!!) Your grade for the project will be determined using the rubric on the back of this paper. Be prepared to present your project to the class. 1.Create a mobile for your book. Display all aspects of the book on the mobile (Story structure: characters, setting, plot-problem and solution, theme?) 2.Make a collage of magazine pictures/computer pictures/drawings. Display all aspects of the book in the collage (Story structure: characters, setting, plot-problem and solution, theme?) 3.Make a poster advertising the book. Display all aspects of the book on the poster (Story structure: characters, setting, plot-problem and solution, theme?) 4.Make a story structure bag. Using a medium sized brown paper bag, decorate the outside using each side for a different part of story structure. Put 3 artifacts inside the bag that relate to the story – Be creative!! (Story structure: characters, setting, plot-problem and solution, theme?) 5.Create a Power Point presentation about your book – Be sure to include pictures and text. 6.Write a visual book report/mini-book. Draw a picture for each major event (minimum 6) that best retells your story. Be sure to write a caption for each picture. 7.Retell your story in newspaper/journalistic format. Reporters retell news events using who, what, when, where, why, and how. Include a title, a picture, and a caption with your newspaper article. 8.Interview your main character. Write 10 carefully chosen and scripted questions and answers that your main character would be able to answer. With the assistance of a friend acting as the interviewer, act out the interview in front of the class. You will take on the role of your main character. Dress in one item that relates to your character.
