Parallel events for International Year of Forests and APFW celebrations can be organized by government agencies, national NGO’s, development organizations etc. Events can be short and creative celebrations on the importance of forest in ongoing projects, or they can be larger special events to highlight
International Year of Forests and the Asia-Pacific Forestry Week. Reportages on the events will be showcased in Beijing. Entries should be short and give a clear impression of the event.
Technical guidelines for reportages
Film footage
Films should be sent in AVI or WMV format. Film footage sent by email can be Max 2 MB. Larger files should be compressed in a ZIP file or sent through web services such as www.sharefile.com
or www.eyejot.com
.
Photo’s
Photo’s files should not exceed 2 MB.
Text
Written event summaries should be MAX. 150 words

Announcing your event plan to us before the actual date, will enable us to better present your event
during APFW. Send the registration form below, ahead of your event.
Actual reportages can be submitted until Thursday evening 10 November 2011.
For each entry (film, photo or text) the following should be indicated:

FAO cannot guarantee to present complete reportages and has the freedom of selection.
FAO does not have funding available to support you in organizing a parallel event.
