Faculty are afforded the freedom to cultivate a spirit of inquiry in an atmosphere where ideas, opinions and creativity are valued and scholarly analysis encouraged. Faculty are free in their classroom, research and public expression to exercise and embrace academic freedom. With academic freedom comes academic responsibility. Faculty members shall exercise their academic freedom with integrity, sensitivity, sound judgment, and a conscientious regard for the rights of others and the best interest of the College. The Board of Trustees authorizes and directs the President or a designee to establish College procedures that facilitate the exercise of academic freedom and responsibility among faculty and students.
