Students at universities often have a choice of places to live. They may choose to live in university dormitories, or they may choose to live in apartments in the community. Compare the advantages of living in university housing with the advantages of living in an apartment in the community. Where would you prefer to live? Give reasons for your preference. There is a hotly debated issue that which is better for students: living in university dormitories or apartment in the community? This topic can be approached from several different angles due to its complexity. Some people tend to prefer to live in dormitories because of its more convenient for them, while others seem to prefer to live in apartments outside the campus because they can get more freedom and privacy. After deeply deliberating this issue, I also develop my own perspective. I favor the former position; that is, I prefer to live in dormitory. First, many student might think that it is the time when they can decide everything because they are out of their parents control. In terms of freedom, needless to say, living outside the campus is definitely more liberal than living in the campus. These students want to seize their freedom and can do something which might be banned in dorms, such as listening to loud music or staying up all night. However, is that freedom is the really matter for us to think about? Be calm down and deliberate what is the main purpose for us to enter an university. Unequivocally, Learning is the major objective. If we live in dormitories, it is convenient for us to obtain many resources in the university. We can go to the library easily, spend all day studying or researching there, and even ensure our securities if we turned home, dormitories, late. Numerous accidents might happen in the mid night on the way we take to home, outside-campus apartments. Who wants these happen to us and interfere our plan of studying? To sum up, with the reasons above, I think living in dormitories on campus is more suitable for students who want to fulfill their dreams by means of learning. In other words, dormitories can be considered as a convenient tool or way for them. That is not to say, of course, that other points of view are completely without merit. However, I think the reasons I have provided in favor of my perspective are much stronger. Word Count: 347
