The Extraordinary Gift
The alphabet picture book I want to introduce is called “The Extraordinary Gift”. The
author and illustrator of this book is Florence Lang Lois. The beginning of this story is about
a wise mother asked her son a question that what kind of present he would like! Next, the boy
starts to ask for sorts of gifts he likes. Then, he turns the ordinary thing into the extraordinary
with his imagination. For instance, the boy would like a boat, he images that the boat with
feet for walking around the world. To the end of the story, the extraordinary gift from his
mother is a book with his all imagination!
To sum up, the reason I pick this picture book is you can unfold each oversize page to
see how the boys changes every simple gift into many kinds of imagination that full of
creativity and adventure. Furthermore, the painting of this book is very interesting and funny.
I think children would like it!
At last, the most of important thing is children could learn many new words from the
alphabet picture book.
