Fire and Tea
When I woke up this morning, I opened the curtains seeing the snow-covered
backyard.
The wild wind was no longer blowing. The pines stood still in the gray
and snowy day.
The colors of them were so green, deep and serious.
The
temperature of the day was still pretty low below ten Fahrenheit. Although the fire
in the living room went out, it remained a little heat for me to make a fire pretty easily.
After that, the soft white atmosphere what rejected by the snow was mixing with a
warm light yellow. Blazing fire and the sounds from fired logs could make people
feeling clam. That was what flats or houses with heaters lacking of.
What fire
could bring warm but also give kindness and care. What he did is a silent partner
doing.
I went to the South for meetings for days.
It was quite boring there. The
weather is always quite well and warm over there; however, it was cloudy, and rainy
days during the days I went there. People all like raining in spring, summer and fall
excepting in winter.
If it is raining in the winter, people will feel like a wetted leaf
sticking on the corner themselves.
It was quite annoying.
In my opinion, raining in
the winter, this kind of situation should exist in personal hopes or imaginations during
the snowy days.
Indeed, it should snow not rain in the winter. Otherwise, the clean
and sparkling snowing scenery is always popping in my mind during the days that
were freezing, cold and dark I had meetings. That is why I think the features out
side now are too beautiful to express by words.
The limitless white and heavy green
are the factors to meet the conclusion.
Since the fire was greater, the atmosphere was much more active inside the
house. Fireplace was a adorable thing indeed what could help modern people feeling
less loneliness. The shapes of fire were keeping changes that would cause many

imaginations easily.

They were “Golden Stag” by Katherine Mansfield and
“Wondering World” praised by George Gissing.
Before having heaters inside the
houses, the fireplace was the place for the whole family in winter.
There was
another condition that caused by having less family members than before and having
heaters inside the house.
That was the fire in the fireplace was roaring but there was
only a lonesome to appreciate it.
It might make the lonesome treating the fireplace
as the most attempting place in the world as Victor Hugo said.
Even if you were
people who were not lonely, there were some reasons for you to fall in love with the
fireplace what was sitting aside the fireplace to have a cup of tea that made you feel
having limitless free and power. You might quote what Cerrantes said, “You are a
king by your own fireside, as much as any monarch in his throne.”
While you had this kind of chance having the day that it was snowing outside
and there was a fireplace inside your house, you had better to enjoy it without doing
anything but having a cup of coffee or tea. Drinking coffee was not quite suitable
with the atmosphere but Green Tea.
This idea was from Robert Lynd’s prose.
About seventy years ago, he wrote an article about “Afternoon Tea” emphazing
afternoon teas was better than the routine meals.
And having teas was better than
having coffee for people. That was because drinking coffees was for talking and
having teas was for thinking. The habit of having a cup of coffee make a groups of
skillful people in British History but having limited accomplishments; however,
drinking teas made British poetry and morality better and better than before. What
tea brought were peace and quite. That was the reasons why China was the quietest
country in the world before having coffees.
Bye comparing Chinese tea and Indian
tea, light green tea stood for Chinese tea and dark block tea stood for Indian, Chinese
tea was better than the Block Tea.
But there were few people appreciating Green Tea.

There was a philosophical saying by no one, “The concept of tea is much more greater
than having a cup of tea.” Therefore, what you got by your imaginations was greater
than you had.
Few days ago, I received a New Year Greeting Card from my closed friend in
Taipei. The friend of mine wrote “It is a snowing season out there where you live.
What you have now is the God having, too.” There were many surprises happen in
my life everyday. How could he say that to express my life style?
say what he said was no real.
Bu I could not
During the snowy days drinking teas in the fireside
without working and even thinking to forget everything includes yourself. That
moment was quite less indeed.
