Qiao Liu

Qi Chang had a wife named Qiao Liu. She was a really beauitful woman with
clever mind and good sewing. This couple had been married for several years and had
wonderful days together. However, unlucky, they had not had any kid in the family.
As time went to the end of the autumn, Qiao Liu was making her husband some
suits for winter wearing. Suddenly, Qiao Liu got a huge stomachache and felt dizzy.
She then died all at once without taking her so long. This was what Qi Chang saw
when he got home. He sorrowed over his wife’s death so deeply that he could not eat
or drink anything for two days and nights. Qi Chang used to be a healthy fat guy,
however, since then, he lost his weight and became totally skinny.
It was the night when Qi Chang was still in a gloomy mood, suddenly there was
an angry wind blowing. It made the sand flying about and stones hurtling through the
air. And a moment later, the wind stopped. An old man with gray hair appeared in fron
of Qi Chang.
“Do you want to find your wife?” said the old man.
“Yes, I do. How can I find her?” asked Qi Chang, promptly.
“If yor really want to find your wife, then you have to walk west and across
forty-nine mountains and forty-nine rivers. After that, you will see a walled city there.
Your wife is in thet city.” Said the old man again, and when he finished his words, he
disappeared.
Qi Chang wanted to find his wife so deeply that he prepared enough food and
water suitable for his journey during that night. The second day early in the morning,
Qi Chang started going west. He kept walking and walking from day after night. He
ate the food when he got hungry, took a sip of water when he was thirsty and slept in a

random cave when he felt sleepy. He walked for sixteen days. During these days, he
went across forty-nine mountains and rivers, and finally he saw a city in front of him.
Qi Chang then went into the city to find his wife. Soon it became night, he then
knocked at one of the doors in the city, and there was a lady going outdoor. Qi Chang
looked at the lady carefully and found out that she was exactly his dead wife, Qiao
Liu.
Qiao Liu then led Qi Chang into her home.
“How come do you come here?” asked Qi Chang.
Qiao Liu started telling the whole story.
It was because of the fact that Qiao Liu’s life had gone to the end, thus the ghost
officer took her soul away from her body. The ghost officer noticed that Qiao Liu was
so beautiful that he married her as his wife.
At the time, a massive guy came in the house. He was the ghost officer, Qiao
Liu’s husband in the Underworld. The view of his wife talking to a strange guy made
him irritated. He moved toward Qi Chang, seized him and hit him with his fist.
Qiao Liu was terrified. She knelt down immediately and said, “My husband, this
man is my another husband in the world. He came here to look for me.”
The ghost officer heard Qi Chang’s story and was touched by his sincere desire.
He release Qi Chang and said, “Dude, I am so sorry for you. I shoud not have
taken Qiao Liu’s soul away and bring her here. However, her life was at the end, I had
no choice but did my duty against the law. tomorrI will discuss with Yama and ask
him to give Qiao Liu more years to live.” Qi Chang was extremely for the ghost
officer when he heard the officer’s words.
After dinner, the ghost officer left and return until the next noon.
He came in the house and said, “Congratulations to you, Dude. This morning I
told this thing to Yama, and he said that he will give Qiao Liu another thirty years to

live in the world. Moreover, I convinced Yama to give her thirty five years to live, and
he agreed with that.”
Both Qi Chang and Qiao Liu were absolutely happy to hear about the news.
That day after having lunch, the ghost officer sent Qi Chang and Qiao Liu out of
the Underworld. Not for too long, Qiao Liu gave a birth to a vigorous baby boy.
Afterwards, Qi Chang and Qiao Liu loved each other more than ever and became
more happier and delighted.
