Write a short paragraph in response to each of these questions:
1. One of Ray Kurzweil’s key ideas is the Law of Accelerating Returns. Give at least two
arguments that support his claim. (In other words, give numbers that illustrate trends, such as
the amount of science being done, the number of scientists, the number of patents, etc.)
2. Consider the short article, “Total Recall”. What do you think of the idea? What would you
choose to record about your life today?
3. What do you think of Marshall Brain’s solution to the problem of disappearing jobs? Can
you come up with a better one?
