The island was known to these people as Sanasai. Formerly known as the “Fire-Burned Island”.Green Island got its present name on August 1, 1949. Culture Attractions The Green Island Prison • Green Island prison, specifically the early years of imprisonment by a major political prisoners have been abandoned. Culture Culture Attractions attractions The GuanYin cave • The GuanYin cave is a typical karst topography landscape. • The holes have a height of about one meter stalagmite, shaped like a Goddess of Mercy, and feet stepping on a rock shaped like a lotus. To commemorate the history of the human rights movement in Taiwan, and the park design is simple and elegant.
