Kappa Tau Omega Chapter 2009 Constance Holland Memorial Scholarship Dear Applicant, You are applying for the 2009 Constance Holland Memorial Scholarship sponsored by the Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. The Constance Holland Scholarship is a $500, $250, $100, non-renewable scholarship. Constance Holland was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She served as a Social Science and English instructor throughout her teaching tenure and retired from Bloomington High School South. She was a dynamic teacher being named Indiana Teacher of the Year 1982. Among her many accomplishments she held many national sorority positions and was a charter member of Kappa Tau Omega Chapter. She was a beloved community member, and friend. This scholarship is in her honor. The following are the criteria or requirements for high school seniors submitting an application for the Constance Holland Scholarship. A complete application packet Evidence of a cumulative average of 3.0 A composite score of 25 on the ACT or 1150 on the SAT Two letters of recommendation from people in the community who know you well. A recommendation by a teacher or former teacher. An official transcript from your high school, to be mailed by the school to the stated address. 7. A copy of the official letter from the admitting college or university. We are a public service oriented organization. Therefore, it is important that you include any and all public service activities in which you have been involved during high school. Your application packet must be complete.
