Diversity Council Survey Report January’, 2011- January’ 2012 Diversity and Social Justice Council Survey to Faculty and Staff Distributed during January 2011 University Meeting There were 300 surveys distributed and 133 completed surveys collected. The survey asked “How familiar are you with the Diversity and Social Justice Council?” According to the result of the survey:. 10.5% indicated that they are Very Familiar “ I am aware of its purpose and know some of the members. 16.5% indicated that they were Moderately Familiar” I am vaguely aware of its existence and know something about its purpose 24.5% indicated that they were Vaguely Familiar “ I have heard of it but know nothing about it or what it does 49.6% indicate that they were Not Familiar and had not heard anything about it. Distributed during January 2012 University Meeting There were 300 surveys distributed and 169 completed surveys collected please note that the surveys were not distributed to individuals so there is no way of knowing who was presented with a survey and opted not to complete. The survey asked “How familiar are you with the Diversity and Social Justice Council?” According to the result of the survey:. 20.1 %(34) indicated that they are Very Familiar “ I am aware of its purpose and know some of the members. 24.3 % (41) indicated that they were Moderately Familiar” I am vaguely aware of its existence and know something about its purpose 36.1 %(61) indicated that they were Vaguely Familiar “ I have heard of it but know nothing about it or what it does 18.9 % (32) indicate that they were Not Familiar and had not heard anything about it.
