Announcing ACM’s 9th SMART Exchange
with Shanghai International Film Festival and Shanghai University in Shanghai,
China, June 2014
Your film could be among the finalists ACM will submit for consideration for
screening at the 17th Shanghai International Film Festival June 14-22, 2014.
Up to 6 ACM student films will be selected
from the finalists.
Winning student filmmakers of the
selected films will be invited to participate
as official delegates to attend the
Shanghai International Film Festival and
engage with Shanghai University students
in film workshops and film co-productions
as part of the SMART Exchange Program,
June 5th to June 25th, 2014.
The Hawaii International Film Festival will
award each (up to six) of the student
filmmakers with HIFF SMART Exchange
travel support awards of $1000 each.
The ACM SMART Exchange and SHU will
cover lodging costs, but invited students
should plan for an out of pocket cost of an
estimated $500-$1000 to cover any
outstanding individual portion of the travel,
food, and miscellaneous expenses.
Selected films will need to be subtitled in English on a DVD and MOV file for the
screening.
Entry deadline is 5pm, Friday, April 4, 2014.
