Mobile Landscape
Greater than 99.7% of students have a mobile device.
Spring 2010 - National rollout of the Android operating system on
Smart Phones. Verizon ran a TV advertising campaign promoting a
$79.99 smart phone with a second one for free.
February 2011 - Verizon (see below) now promoting Two LG Vortex
smart phones for $49.99. (That’s a 37.5% decrease from previous
example.)
