AREA Example: Anna is planning to sew a quilt that measures 3 ¼ x 4 ½ feet.

D. Each package costs $2.75. How much will it cost to make the quilt?
PERIMETER Example: Fancy Francis wants to embellish a mirror with gold metallic trim.
The mirror measures 4 ½ ft. by 3 ¾ ft.. The trim costs $7.25 per linear yard. How much will it
cost Francis?
E. Step 1 – Find the perimeter in feet.
F. Step 2 – Convert feet to yards.
G. Step 3- Multiply the yards by the cost.
