SSCC Library Project
This project is intended to expose you to some of the additional
Legal reference sources that are available to you at the college
Library. If you are not near our campus, you should be able to
find similar sources at your local library.
1. West’s Encyclopedia of American Law. After entering the library, ask a librarian
to direct you to the Law reference books. Scan through this multi-volume set,
looking for Business Law topics that interest you. (examples: Copyright Law;
Trademark Law; etc.). After reading the topic, briefly summarize what the
topic was about, and one new thing you learned about this topic that you didn’t
know before:

2. See what other Law reference books are in the library. Choose a different
topic from one of these volumes; read & summarize as you did for Question 1:

3. Other Law-Related Books. Find out from the librarians where the other lawrelated books are (there are two tall bookshelves that have hundreds of law
books in them!). Look through some of these other law-related books.
