Your Neighborhood!
Use words and expressions from pg 18 from the picture story book (handouts)
Talk about your neighborhood for 2-3 minutes. Have a picture, draw on the board, or use a
PowerPoint for something for us to see! Also, give directions from your house to somewhere in
your neighborhood!
Remember to think about:







a strong introduction and conclusion
good organization
the time limit
GOOD Grammar! (Are you using the correct tense? Are you remembering the 3rd
person singular and plural ‘-s’? Are you using the correct form of the word?)
pronunciation and clarity – can I understand everything you say?
volume, speed, and energy
body language— eye contact – no reading!- and posture (no hands in pockets)
