Pronunciation Quiz, Part 5
Consonant Clusters & Stress
On Wednesday, February 23, you will be asked to recite this part of the poem in front of the
class. I will grade you on your pronunciation of these new concepts (and all past sounds, stress,
and intonation).
Part Six
With his cloak and gloves George did arrive
In a shiny sportscar he did drive
He clapped his hands and clicked his heels
Then he roared again and said “It feels
GREAT each time I cross the grass,
Dreaming of vines and lifting a glass.
I’m in the grip of a glimpse of glory
But the tale of my crown is another story.”
Use this copy of the poem to make notes about stress.
