Yasha is a model Spartan at Mountain View High School. He excels in his rigorous classes including AP Statistics, AP Lit, AP Macro, AP Physics C Mechanics, Multivariable calculus honors, and AVID tutoring. He appreciates that all of his classes challenge him in different ways. Yasha can be found participating in various activities all over the Mountain View campus-- at National Honor Society club meetings, volunteering with the Interact Club, or making new students feel welcome at the Ambassadors club potlucks.
Outside of school he practices karate and piano. Yasha loves mixed martial arts; he became a black belt sophomore year and will be testing soon for his second degree black belt. Yasha also has a strong passion for playing piano, which he has been doing for 13 years now. He likes composing his own pieces on the piano, and his dream is to one day compose an orchestral piece for which he will gain some recognition. He also volunteers at the Los Altos
Library where he gets to work in the circulation room in which he sees all the books that people return.
This past summer he went to New York where he had the unique experience of playing in
Carnegie Hall. Yasha went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the first time, and this was a great experience for him as he loves history. He also attended an engineering camp at
Berkeley, a leadership camp, and took on a job at Chipotle.
Yasha is very enthusiastic about science in general and loves reading about the latest discoveries. When he grows up, Yasha wants to change the world by doing something with the sciences that will help mankind as a whole. He also wants to continue his passion for music into his adulthood.
The Mountain View High School community is very fortunate to have had such an incredible student for the past four years. Yasha has said that he pushes himself in order to be a better person and achieve great things. Anyone at MVHS would verify that Yasha is a caring friend and hard worker who has already accomplished so much and will continue to reach his goals in the future.
