All students taking an AP exam in May are required to attend one of the following pre-administration sessions in April in the
cafeteria: Today, 1:30 - 4:00, or Friday, April 24th, 1:30 - 4:00. Students should attend any time during the hours listed. Bring a
#2 pencil, permanent I.D. # and student I.D. card. This is mandatory for all exams except Chinese and Studio Art.
Are you interested in joining the ASB class next year? Application packets are available from Ms. Rainie in the Attendance
Office. Applications are due Thursday, April 30th. Interviews will be held after school, May 4 – 6.
Attention all National Honor Society members and new inductees. The Induction Ceremony will be Thursday, April 23rd.
Current NHS members must arrive at Eagle Theater by 6:15pm. New Inductees must arrive by 6:30. Remember dress is
dressy casual. Ladies should wear dresses or nice slacks. Gentlemen should wear nice pants and shirt – tie and coat are
optional. No flip flops, shorts or tank tops.
Bring your lunch to the College and Career Center to hear speakers talk about what they do and how they got there!
Upcoming speakers are:
Today: Dr. Wayneab Truneh, Obstetrician/Gynecologist at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. Dr. Wayneab will talk about the
path to becoming a medical doctor.
Also, for juniors possibly interested in Cal Poly next year and for seniors already accepted at Cal Poly, come on Friday, April
24th during 6th period to hear their representative talk about Cal Poly and answer any questions you may have. Sign up on
Naviance and have your teacher sign your confirmation page.
Reminder! There will be an AP Physics 1 review session today from 4:00 – 6:00pm in room 707. The focus will be on Forces.
Any Physics students are welcome!
Attention all LAHS students who have attended Camp Diversity! The annual Los Altos Live Talent Show is this Saturday. All
proceeds fund scholarships for camp. Tickets are $10 for students and $20 for adults. Be there on Saturday at the Eagle Theater!
Auditions for next year's Broken Box Theatre Company are Monday, April 27th through Friday, May 1st. If you have not
arranged an audition time with Mrs. Moran, please do so ASAP. You can email her or stop by room 410 to make arrangements.
No auditions will be held after May 1st.
Seniors! Picnic tickets go on sale on Wednesday. There is a new price – April 22 – May 5 $30; May 6 – May 19 $35; May 20 –
June 3 $40. Buy your tickets early and take advantage of the new lower price! Permission slip must be turned in with payment.
Attention dancers: The auditions for next year’s Advanced Jazz Dance class will be held the last week in April. Please see Ms.
Oliver to schedule a 10-minute audition. Auditions will be held at lunch and after school on April 27, 28, 29 and 30. For the
audition, come ready to perform a dance of one-two minutes in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, or ballet. To schedule your
audition, see Ms. Oliver in Room 410 periods 1, 2, 3, or 7 or the dance room periods 4, 5, and 6. You can also email her at

The Los Altos Dance Team is having tryouts May 8 and 9. Contact Coach Jordan at lahsdt@gmail.com or talk to any current
team member for more information!
Happy Earth Day! Thanks to all who biked or walked to school, you can pick up your free cookie at brunch in the quad, and
get smoothies at the bike racks after school. In honor of Earth Day, please try staying on campus for lunch to avoid an extra car
trip!
Last call for anyone who'd like a donated bike so they can have transportation to school! Sign up with Mrs. Woolfolk if you're
interested - still bikes available!
Organ Donation Awareness Month fact of the day brought to you by Pink Dot: Did you know that anyone, at any age can
become an organ donor? Come by Starbucks, downtown Los Altos on Friday from 4:00-5:00 to get a free drink if you sign up
with Pink Dot.
The Science and Engineering Team will meet today at lunch in room 705. We'll be 3D printing parts and building a drone. If
you haven't flown the Typhoon yet, please come by to fly it.
LSU will meet at lunch in room 408 to discuss elections for next year.
The Haiti Club will meet at lunch in room 305.
Stand Up to Cancer will meet at lunch in room 411.
Think Outside the Brush will meet at lunch in room P-13.
Lacrosse plays Leland: Varsity at 4:00, followed by Frosh/Soph at 5:30. Frosh/Soph Baseball has a game vs. Saratoga at 4:00. Go
Eagles!
