All Sophomores – The California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) takes place next week on Tuesday and Wednesday. Check
the glass display case for your testing room assignment this Friday. If you have any questions, see Mr. Rosenberg or Ms.
Davila in the Attendance Building.
Freestyle Academy is now accepting applications for 2015-2016. Students who are interested in using technology and art to
express themselves to the world with productions such as films, websites, animations, music videos, photographic art,
illustrated art, books, magazines, graphic novels, music recording, t-shirt art and posters are encouraged to apply. No
experience is necessary to be successful at Freestyle Academy. What are necessary are your passion, creativity and desire to
develop your communication skills through various technology mediums. Get an application from the counseling office today
and submit it before the February break. Current 10th and 11th grade students can apply. Much more info available at

The LAHS Latino Student Union invites you to participate in our Nicaraguan Relief Project, January 26 – 31. Donate your
gently used clothes and toys. Monday-Friday, collection of items will occur during brunch in the quad, or drop off your items
in the blue barrels outside the counseling and administration office. On Saturday January 31st please drop off your items at the
main student drop off next to the marquee and library, 8:00am – 1:00pm. Wish List (gently used or new): Toys; All types and
sizes of clothing (no sweaters or coats, please); Shoes; Bedding, towels, linens; Sports equipment (baseball bats, baseball gloves,
balls); School supplies (back packs, notebooks, pencils, etc.); Lap top computers (working condition, please).
Registration for AP exams begins January 26th through February 27th. Late fees will apply after February 27th. Registration and
payment can be done at the Finance Office or online at the LAHS Webstore. If you are in need of financial assistance contact
Ms. Maria Pilco during brunch or lunch in room 401 or call 650-960-8830.
The Textbook Room needs English reading books from the first semester returned this week. Bills will be mailed home soon.
Attention all clubs! The Valentine’s Day Fair is Friday, February 13 th. Please turn in your Fundraiser Request form and note if
you will need an outlet, to Ms. Rainie in the Attendance Office by Tuesday, February 10 th. If you are a new club that did not
participate in the first club day, you may request a table to advertise your club.
Did you see Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson scale the Dawn Wall, the world’s hardest climb, and want to give the sport
a try? The Climbing Club will meet today at lunch in room 310.
The Queer-Straight Alliance will meet today at lunch in room 405.
ODFL will meet today at lunch in room 709.
All of those interested in trying out for Badminton should plan to attend the meeting with the Coach today in the small gym
during lunch.
The Boys Swim team will have a mandatory meeting today at the start of lunch on the pool deck. We will be discussing the
start of our season.
The Girls Swim team has a mandatory meeting today after school on the pool desk. If you wish to be on the team, you must
attend.
Boys Soccer plays Palo Alto at 3:30. Go Eagles!
