PEOPLE
Corporate Customer System (CCS):
The following are the key data elements held by the CCS:
Customer’s name, address, D.O.B., contact details
(including e-mail, landline, mobile number etc.)
PPS Number, Tax status, Bank details
Roles which determine access to services
including Herdowner, Herdkeeper, PVP etc.
ANIMALS (1)
Animal Health Computer System (AHCS):
System supporting DAFF’s animal health and welfare
activities, particularly disease eradication schemes:
Disease status, disease testing history
Details of claims & payments made and compensation
amounts paid to farmers under disease eradication schemes
Schedule of animals due for testing (e.g. TB) and
consequent veterinary testing schedule
ANIMALS (2)
Animal Identification & Movement (AIM):
AIM maintains:
All registration details for cattle (Breed, D.O.B., Sex, Dam etc.)
Location of all bovine animals on any given date (herd profiles)
Details of movements of bovine animals
Sheep Movements (grouped movements)
Pig Movements (grouped movements to factories)
ANIMALS (3)
National Pig Identification & Tracing System (NPITS):
NPITS contains:
Registration & Identification details for all pig herds
All movements, whether inter-herd or to mart , factory or export
are recorded
DAF unique herd identifiers are used
Consignors and consignees obliged to report movements
Simple, user-friendly, paperless notification system
LAND
Single Payment Scheme (SPS)
Data transferred/used for:
Payment requests to SAP;
Area and penalty data to Disadvantaged Areas;
Herdnumber / Entltlements / Land details to printing company;
Ad Hoc reports and mailshot data, spatial data to contract company
Integrated Forestry Information System (IForIS):
Department’s integrated forestry information system
Takes PPS Number and Date of Birth from CCS
Maps; Owner Details; Application & Contract Number
FINANCIALS
DAFF Accounts System (SAP):
The SAP application is the Department’s Accounting system and
supports all National and EU financial reporting requirements
It receives client (Vendor and Customer) details from CCS;
It provides payment processing for the following groups

Farmers
Private Veterinary Practitioners (PVPs)
General Suppliers
SAP supports the following financial requirements

National Reporting
EU Reporting (Monthly & Yearly)
Purchasing & Sales
Intervention Operations
FISHERIES
Integrated Fisheries Information System (IFIS)
Integrated support for business processes and data of all
business sections within Sea Fish Division and SFPA
Vessel Register, Licence, Customer information, Logsheets
(Catch information), Sales Notes (First Fish Sale information),
Vessel landings, Fishing Quotas , Fishing Vessel Inspections,
Fish Withdrawals, Ports, Fish Species, Fishing authorisations,
VMS (Vessel Monitoring info), Fishing Zones.
ON-LINE SERVICES
DAFF continues to improve service delivery standards by
increasing the current range of electronic service delivery channels
for its customers, agents and citizens.
For example, Single Farm Payment online applications continue to
increase, with approx 36% applying online in 2010
DAFF has also introduced a Customer Snapshot System which:
Gives the current status of a customer’s dealings across all areas
of the Department
Allows staff to effectively deal with the majority of enquiries at the
first point of contact
