Line item change
They want to change line item to food.
They previously had no money allocated to food.
Not they should have 400
Quinn: How many people are in the club
About 30. They are having a speaker. I think they will probably have more people there.
So lets say 50 people.
Discussion or motion
Calvin: motion to move 200 to food second by Michael.

Budget deliberations
Information Systems club
 Most of the budget is straight forward. Cut awards.
 Joe: they have more than 2 food meetings.
 Sarah: I recommend food going to 87
 Calvin: what was the problem with their math.
 Sarah: a typo.
 Joe: motion to change food to 87 and cut prizes and awards second by Quinn

Martial Arts
 Sarah: they are asking for travel to ask to watch an mma fight. I think it is relevant
to their club but does not provide enough benefit. Prof services are asking people
to come 8 times. Consider if we want to fund that many


Quinn: what is your issue
Sarah: I don’t. but they are asking for 400 for an instructor coming in… not sure
if we want to strike it.
 Food. …85 for food.
 Quinn: I say 100
 They have some equip like mouth guards we did not fund for
 Food 100, 904 for equipment, cut travel, cut misc
 Motion by Quinn second by Michael
Naker Society
 Travel we have been adjusting so that they can continue to go. My
recommendation is to half it. So 10 students
 Cal: are we considering this as a conference.
 Sarah: I don’t know how many people they need they are a drumming society, If
they need 20 then we half it and they can bridge that gap.
 Calvin: how many fit in a van
 7
 so they would still need 2 vans.
 Sarah: I made it 10 for math. But the food as cut
 Jim: what if we reduced it to one van.
 Sarah: rooms would stay the same 1260, vans 327, all in agreement on cutting
food.
 Nathan: last weekend it cost us 400 to go there
 All in favor of doing 400
 Maintenance that is yearly seems reasonable. But some of that seems borderline.
 Quinn: some of it seems small. Like give them 100 for the little stuff. 200 max
 Mike: I think 200 is reasonable.
 1107 for maintenance and repairs.
 Misc expenses some were strange.
 Mike: I think we should cut that
 Sarah: … usually we want specificity in this category.
 Mike: that is form vans to key chains.
 Quinn: I say 50 we have funded other advertisings.
 Sarah: It doesn’t really break it down much…. I am good with 50 but keep it
around there
 Travel 1660, maintenance and repairs 1107, misc expenses 50,
 Motion to approve changes by Reggie second by Quinn
o 5-0-1
NSLS
 change in food on notes because there is a multitude of events for food to 125.
 Cut prizes and awards they are asking for gift cards
 Calvin: postage and freight. Being a selective org. should we cut that amount.
 Sarah: they said that anyone can join.
 Calvin: …
 Jim: we also don’t do end of the year banquets




Calvin: what about printing if we cut the postage.
50 for printing give them money for the all student thing
Postage and freight cut, cut prizes and awards, food to 125, 50 for printing

Anthropology Club
 travel. These seem applicable to the club but under field trips. We haven’t been
completely cutting these but we have been reducing them. Lets cut them in half.
They didn’t break it down great. One trip to Milwaukee and one to the effigy
mounds. The Milwaukee trip they could do the two.
 Food 2 meetings and popcorn and cut the other 2.
 163 travel. 253 food. Cut misc expenses.
 Motion by Mike to approve the changes second by Calvin
o 6-0-0
Racquetball club
 cut t-shirts. 40 for marketing.
 Food. Reasonable
 Equipment. Stringing, it kind of goes with what we did for drums. Maybe leave
them with 2. They do have club racquets so we would pay for those but not
private racquets
 4000 for dues is pretty high. It includes food and shirts.
 Nathan: I believe they are a sport club. Yes they are a sport club. So the fee is for
tourneys
 One time request. They are asking for a ball feeder
 Quinn: we didn’t have a ball feeder in college and we were one of the best teams.
it is a luxury
 Cut the ball feeder
 Equip 200, marketing 40, cut one time expense equip line item.
 Motion by Quinn second mike

Religious Studies Club
 Travel is high for what is relevant to club but falls more in field trip than conf or
competitive.
 I think we should fund the fleet vehicle but it does not seem like something we
should be covering.
 It is not very well broken down. They want meals, bus passes, etc.
 Quinn: why are they going for two days then. I can see rationale for cutting it in
half.
 Sarah: If you do that it covers things we don’t cover.
 Quinn: I would do gas and one night hotel.
 Nathan: or give them 2 vehicles.
 Joe: and it says reimburse meals for 15 people.
 Sarah: this does not need to be an overnight trip.
 Joe: I agree with 400 it doesn’t need to be an overnight trip.
 Quinn: they can do it all in one day but it is a lot

Reggie: It is cheaper the further out you go. But can’t they go somewhere in the
suburbs.
 Joe: they said it is biannual. So is that the numbers for 2 trips.
 Reggie: I would fund this trip for 1000.
 Megan: I think we have been reducing others a lot. And they can reduce this to 3
things to see and make it a day trip
 Food 100 for the year.
 Cut misc. it is awards
 Travel 400, 100 food, cut misc.
 Motion to approve changes by Calvin second by mike

 adjusting fleet vehicles because they calculated gas as well. So I didn’t actually
cut anything. Travel 190.
 Food looked fine.
 Calvin: food should be cut in half they want 4 a year
 Everything else looked reasonable

 Food 206, travel 190
 Motion by Quinn to approve changes second by Reggie

HOPE
 they are asking for travel to conf, a conf we would fund but they are asking for 18
people which seems high. Everything else seems reasonable. Printing seems high,
supplies seems a little high. Food they have meetings and 60 for snacks and
snacks for drag show cut, end of year thing fund.
 Quinn: I would fund 6 for the conf. I think that is ample.
 Sarah: take quote and third it
 Quinn: how would that affect the rooms
 720 for rooms plus advisor room 360. 480 for admission, 270 for van. Emble-tech
1830.
 Travel to LGBTQ conf.
 One van 194
 They want travel for speakers which seems reasonable
 Printing, do we think that is high of on par
 Quinn: high, 300 max but even that seems high
 Yeah
 Quinn: special event supplies.
 Events listed above.
 Quinn: 100 for taste of osh is what we have been funding.
 Food 220 for those 2 meetings
 Travel 2204, printing and duplicating 300, food 220, supplies 1000

 I don’t know why they need to go that far for a animal shelter.
 Quinn: agree there is one in osh
 Cut travel for animal shelter
 Convention travel they are asking for 4 registration fees and vans.
 Quinn: we just thirded the last group
 Sarah: cut it in half 5 students.
 Mike: 2 cars wouldn’t be that unbearable.
 Reduce it to 5 students.
 Mike: how does that pertain.
 We already cut that.
 Back to convention. 2 cars. 8 people.
 Change to one van.
 500 for convention travel
 services professional. professional speaker that is high but we haven’t been
cutting that often
 Jim: this is something speakers series should pick up
 Sarah: we might want to look at limiting it in the ppm
 Jim: that is a lot for a club with 30 students
 Calvin: cut service prof to 2000 and travel seems high
 3000 for that.
 Cut senior networking dinner
 Cut misc.
 Quinn: printing … cut 432 in half to 216 and cut other in half too
 300 for printing.
 Food they want 4 so cut it in half to

Calvin: this is a smaller audience
Quinn: RUB is a larger audience.
Joe: 4800 for rents and leases
Sarah: printing they are asking 700 better number
Calvin: 25-30 posters for each movie is reasonable. Do we have the minutes from

 360 posters 180 for that how do they get 700
 200 for printing
 cut misc.
 food is popcorn so people come to screenings.
 400 rents and leases, cut misc, 4800 rents and leases, 200 printing.

Women’s Volleyball Club
 this seems straightforward and reasonable. But lets talk about equip and supplies
they have new uniforms. Some of it stays with the players. This one actually does
not say that so maybe it is different from men’s.
 Quinn: so no changes
 It is competitive travel and the food is for travel and they included money for
officials which is necessary I didn’t’ see a lot of fluff
 Motion by Joe second by Mike

DJ Club
 they make money on events does that effect how we fund them
 Jim: they put the $ back in their account but is it off campus or on campus. WE
shouldn’t be funding something that is a business
 Nathan: is there a reason they got no money last year
 Sarah: they were new and I don’t think they asked for anything
 Jim: they asked for equip and I thought we decided Reeve union owned the equip.
 I think we can fund them
 Jim: we have to be careful about funding what could be a small business
 Travel should be cut completely. That is not specific
 Jim: they want to go to a store but music stores in town sells equip
 Rents and leases looks reasonable. The only thing is outsource equip rental. I
didn’t understand that
 Calvin: 150 goes back to event.
 Jim: …
 Mike: they do charge for Greek socials but I don’t see that on here. They are paid
by them. We should be careful they did not include the off campus events
 Jim: we need to be careful about using state money to fund competition in the
community

Jim: it looks like they rent equip from reeve

brewer game.
 Cut brewer trip.
 Calvin: is that same time frame as company visit.
 Sarah: I think it is a good thing for the club but they are asking for 3 tours and
brewer game. Twice
 Calvin: I can see cutting the number of people.

 MKE is 90 miles away.
 Jim: did they ask for ticket money
 No. just bus twice a year
 2 company trips to MKE. Travel 180

 Storage shed is for one of the members boats.
 How does this vary for gaming society.

 Bring in musicians and it brings in revenue
 Nathan: 1000
 Not near 30000

 Sarah: range of 3500-8000 for artist. So put that at 5000 at 4 performances

 they host PRSSA in city of presidents choice and they send one member to
represent Osh.
 Leadership rally is for newly elected president. They go to AZ. We already
sending one delegate to something they find important. And so I think they should
fundraise for that
