RHA Representative/ Executive Application
The Residential Housing Association is a student run organization committed to
improving the lives of the students living on campus by planning and hosting
programs to entertain, inspire, and educate. As an Representative or Executive
you would be part of the RHA team and play a major role in implementing the
needs of residents on campus (University Village or the Commons).
Becoming an RHA Representative or Vice President is an excellent way to make
your mark on the university and start getting involved as a leader here at UT
Dallas!
How to Apply
RHA will be accepting applications until all positions are filled. Qualified applicants
will be interviewed in the order that applications are submitted.
Applications should be turned in to the RHA Office (Residence Hall Southwest
2.007, near the Multipurpose Room) or online to utdrha@gmail.com
A full list of responsibilities and expectations for the positions below can be found
in the RHA Constitution on our website at utdallas.edu/reslife/rha/. It is HIGHLY
RECCOMENDED that any interested applicants read over these duties prior to
submitting their application.

Open Positions
-Executives
Vice President of External Affairs (VP of EA)
Vice President of Marketing & Development (VP of M&D)
-Officers
Hall Representative -2 per Residence Hall
Apartment Representative-1 per Apartment Area (Phases 1-3, Phases 4-7,
and Phases 8-9)
Overview of Duties
VP of EA
This position serves as the primary contact with other organizations, offices,
and contacts outside of RHA. This VP is also in charge of managing the
Representatives and is the immediate seed to the Presidential position should
their be an unexpected vacancy. Strong skills in communication and
teamwork are a must for this position.
VP of M&D
This position is in charge of RHA branding, advertising, and image
management. Any media, physical or virtual, is the responsibility of this
position. Those seeking to build a portfolio and the artistically inclined
would be a good fit for this position.
Representatives (Hall and Apartment)
These positions exist to allow for direct connections between residents and
RHA. Each position represents the needs and concerns of their specific
living area to the executive board in order to better serve the community as a
whole. Representatives have deeper involvement in RHA than a general
member, but not as much responsibility as an Executive. Any skill set will
benefit these positions.
Expectations
All Positions are expected to help plan, implement, and attend all RHA programs
and General Assembly Meetings
Executives are also expected to attend all executive meetings and host 4 office
hours per week.
Representatives are expected to hold 1 community meeting/program during the
2014-2015 year.
