PARRAMATTA CAMPUS LIFE COMMITTEE
VIABILITY GRANT
Parramatta campus viability grants, auspiced by the Parramatta Campus Life Committee, are
offered to support staff and students to make a viable and sustainable contribution to
community life on the Parramatta Campus.
Staff and students, either individually or in groups, are eligible to apply for campus life funding
to:


Build and maintain links between the UWS and its external communities; and
Provide a more vibrant and engaging campus for staff and students.
Examples of the types of activities for which the funds could be used include modest
environmental, cultural, social, educational and recreational initiatives.
The scheme anticipates small grants of up to $500 for grant applicants to run their project but
there is provision for occasional grants up to $1000 subject to commensurate benefit.
Funding will not normally be given to activities that are part of the core business of the
university. However, project ideas that are a precursor to SURF grants
(http://www.uws.edu.au/sustainability/sustainability/administration/surf) are encouraged.
Grant applications can be received at any time throughout the year Projects need to be carried
out within a 12 month time frame.
