What is the question or goal of the research? Attach a research design if you wish.
What kinds of nondestructive analysis (measurements, observations, etc.) will you do?
Do you propose to use any destructive analytical techniques1?
What is the intended product of the research (thesis, dissertation, paper, etc.)?
When would you like to do this research?
Do you need to use any Maxwell Museum equipment (calipers, osteometric board,
microscope, etc.) in your research? How much space (desk top, lab bench, 6 ft table) will
you need?
Do you wish to take photographs2?
All researchers must agree to abide by the terms and conditions set by the Maxwell Museum
of Anthropology for access to the collections. The researcher must provide one copy of the
research product to the Museum in a format that the Museum can use. Permission to take
photographs must be received prior to the research visit, and permission to publish
photographs must be obtained separately from the Museum.
