The College of Engineering and Applied Science would like to acknowledge the good colleagueship

courtesy appointment as Title in the Department of (Name of courtesy dept) beginning date.
The Department of (Name of department where courtesy appointment will be), Department of (Name
of home department), College of Engineering and Applied Science, and the Associate Vice
Chancellor for Faculty Affairs support this courtesy appointment of Name as Title in the Department
of (Name of department where courtesy appointment will be) by agreeing to the following.
1. The Department of (Name of courtesy department) appointment is official, but ceremonial
only. Professor Name will be officially listed both in the Department of (Name of courtesy
dept) and the Department of (Name of home department). However, the allocation of the
appointment would be 100% in the Department of (Name of home department) and 0% in the
Department of (Name of courtesy department).
2. This courtesy appointment applies no responsibility and cost to the recipient. Professor
Name will have no voting rights within the Department of (Name of courtesy department).
Additionally, there are no rights or obligations between the Department of (Name of courtesy
department) and Professor Name.
