We would like to see stricter penalties enforced for miners involved in car wrecks where alcohol is the main cause. We believe the law should be Stiffer because of all the DWI tickets given last year the vast majority were given to minors. The penalties we want to propose. 1) Suspend the minors licence for 1 year 2) The minor will attend a defensive driving course for a period no less than 30 days. 3) The minor will attend all local MADD and etc. programs for no less than 6 months. 4) The minor will then make a formal apology to the parties involved. The purpose of our wanting stiffer penalties for underage drinkers is to lessen the number of minors involved in the consumption of alcohol while driving.
