Stampede to host Brahmas BELTON — The Temple Daily Telegram reports that the Central Texas Stampede is hoping to usher in the New Year with a fresh start on home ice. Entering today's 7:05 p.m. game against Fort Worth at the Bell County Expo Center, the Stampede hasn't won a game at home in 53 days, since a 3-2 win over Amarillo on Nov. 11.The team has dropped 10 straight games on home ice and also had to weather some off-ice turbulence in December, with the resignations of head coach Todd Lalonde and general manager Deborah Lackey on Dec. 1.While Lalonde came back four days later, his return hasn't put a halt to the uncertainty concerning the future of the perennially embattled team.
