One College Centre dedicated As reported by the Temple Daily Telegram, Temple College reached another milestone Wednesday dedicating its centrally located One College Centre.As a continuing celebration of the college's 75th academic year, Temple College staff, faculty and friends braved the cooler weather to open yet another building dedicated to better serving students and the community."This is wholly dedicated to the students — past, present and especially future," said Temple College President Dr. Marc Nigliazzo."This is wonderful to do this during the 75th year of this institution."After an introduction of the college's board of trustees by board president Lydia Santibanez, Temple Mayor Keifer Marshall Jr. presented a city proclamation."We are greatly honored to offer this building that will help students continue excellence in education," Marshall said.Remembering Temple College in its days in downtown Temple, Marshall proclaimed Wednesday, Nov. 15, Temple College Day in the city."We commend the leadership at Temple College that made this possible and express great appreciation."As the cold winds blew, Dean of Student Services Dr. Gwen Hauk presented Debbie Hernandez as the winner of the college's 75th anniversary logo contest. Miss Hernandez received a $300 scholarship for her art.Remembering from the class of 1938 through the class of 1970, former Temple College students shared their memories of the college.
