Awarded scholarships are applied to your next two semesters of enrollment (Fall and Spring).

If you are graduating in Spring 2016, the funds will be applied to your current account and any remaining funds will be sent to you from the Bursar’s Office.

Requirements

Current CU Boulder student in good standing with a minimum 2.5 GPA (must submit unofficial transcript for verification).

Currently enrolled for at least 9 credit hours (at least 6 credit hours for grad students).

Currently employed by the UMC (minimum of one semester’s employment, paid out of UMC

Payroll). Official start date, as recorded in Kronos, with the UMC must be on or before

October 18, 2015.

Completion of essay and application, and submittal of two letters of recommendation.

Essay Topic

One page, typed, single-spaced, Times New Roman 12 pt. font, 1 inch margins

What have you gained by working at the UMC? How has your position at the UMC helped you grow?

Letters of Recommendation

Use the attached form and submit two (2) letters with your application. Each letter must be in a sealed envelope with your (the applicant’s) name on the front of the envelope.

One reference must be from a supervisor at the UMC.

Second reference can be from another supervisor, co-worker, professor, or other individual who can speak to your work and contributions to the UMC.

References may be contacted by the Scholarship Committee.

References should not be related to you, the applicant.

All scholarship awards go through the CU Scholarship Office and the Bursars’ Office. Graduating seniors will receive their award as part of any refund they are due at graduation.
