State Requirements for Public Participation
339.135(4)(c)(2) – Work program shall be developed cooperatively from the
outset with the various metropolitan planning organizations of the state
339.135(4)(4)(d) - Prior to the submission of the district work program to the
central office, each district office shall hold a public hearing in at least one
urbanized area in the district and shall make a presentation at a meeting of
each metropolitan planning organization in the district
For purposes of this section (339.135(4)), the board of county commissioners
shall serve as the metropolitan planning organization in those counties which
are not located in a metropolitan planning organization and shall be involved
in the development of the district work program to the same extent as a
metropolitan planning organization
