IT Apprentice - Infrastructure Support

Description of Business Environment:

LMUK IT Services is responsible for delivering IT Services across the UK with 1700+ users operating across 20 sites. With over 70 staff based at 6 locations, LMUK IT

Services support the UK corporate network, enterprise services, business labs and proposal suites, as well as major UK programmes,demonstrating a variety of skills and capabilities with drive, agility, affordability, and innovation. The mission is to offer a customer drivenapproach to providing IT Services for Lockheed Martin UK, supporting both the current and future business needs.

Specific Job Description:

As well as entering full-time employment, this role allows you to learn as you earn: Full funded for those aged 16-19, you will receive work-based training which will lead to the attainment of a recognised and highly accredited IT qualification and additional Microsoft certifications.

Participates in a structured cooperative educational/work program between the company and a college/university, and enrolled in an accredited degree program directly related to skills required by the company. Performs assigned tasks in technical/engineering disciplines e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Facilities Engineering,

Quality Engineering.

Required Skills :

• A desire to build a career within Lockheed Martin

Ability to demonstrate customer service skills

Interest in IT Infrastructure

Self starter with willingness to learn from colleagues

Must be a good team player and able to use own initiative

Must have good problem determination skills

Communication skills – both written and verbal

Desired Skills:

• Dynamic and flexible "can-do" attitude

Enthusiastic, motivated & passionate about IT

Ability to demonstrate organisational skills

Experience of Microsoft client operating systems (Windows 7, 10)

GCSEs in English, Maths and IT would be advantageous.
