Specific Job Description: We are looking for a Facilities Engineer with strong project management experience, or an experienced Project Manager with some experience of a facilities environment. The role will involve a mixture of Facilities Engineering responsibilities and the planning and management of facilities related projects and programmes across the Ampthill site. Required Skills: An official Project Management affiliation or qualification such as APMP. Project Management experience. Health and safety qualification IOSH or NEBOSH. CAD Planning Experience SAP Desired AutoCAD experience. Microsoft Project Experience and strong MS Office user. Facilities Engineering/Management experience. Standard Job Description: Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities. Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility. Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings. Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs. Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. Typical Minimum Education & Experience: Ideally require a Bachelors degree from an accredited college and capability typically achieved through proven professional experience. Will also consider individuals with equivalent experience / combined education. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
