Lockheed Martin UK – Integrated Systems (LMUK IS), established in 1991, is a leading

Navy’s multi-mission Merlin Mk1 helicopter and subsequent Merlin Capability

Hercules Integrated Operational Support (HIOS) and the Warship Electronic Chart
Display and Information System (WECDIS) fall under the Military Solutions
area.
LMUK IS, through the Systems Solutions organisation, also provides
postal automation and recognition technology to the US Postal Service, the UK’s
Royal Mail and PostNord in Sweden and has most recently been awarded a contract
to replace/modernise Australian Post’s Enterprise Address and Sort Plan
Management System (SPMS).
LMUK IS has a strong track record in the delivery of advanced systems, on time and to
budget. LMUK IS employs approximately 600 staff across four UK sites: Havant, Yeovil,
RNAS Culdrose and RAF Brize Norton.
Specific Job Description:
Have you ever organised a party, planned an event at school or college or completed a
piece of coursework with a group? If so it is likely that you have used project
management skills. Every industry employs project managers or uses project
management skills.
LMUK IS Havant have an exciting opportunity for Students studying A-Levels (or
equivalent Level 3 qualification) to undertake a two year Higher Level Apprenticeship in
Project Management gaining an industry recognised Level 4 Diploma in Project
Management (QCF)
The Programme Management Apprentice will be based within the LMUK IS Programme
Office.
The apprenticeship will entail on the job learning at LMUK IS Havant together with full
weeks of external training in London (approximately. 6). Apprentices will also have the
opportunity at undertake a number of Lockheed Martin Programme Management and
business training courses which will compliment their external training.
The onsite learning will see the Apprentice embedded into various projects at LMUK is
Havant where, with guidance from Subject Matter Experts develop skills and gain
experience to provide evidence of their knowledge and learning. Apprentices will be
exposed to all aspects of Project Management, giving them the opportunity to select
where they would like to pursue a post apprenticeship career.

This vacancy requires all successful candidates to be processed for a HM Government
security clearance, which stipulates, at a minimum, that the applicant must have been a

Participates in a structured cooperative educational/work program between the company
and a college/university, and enrolled in an accredited degree program directly related to
