Administer, develop, organize, schedule, supervise, coach and teach.
Specific Responsibilities:
 Supervised thirteen full time Therapeutic Recreation Professionals.
 Directed a comprehensive interscholastic athletic program for boys and girls
(basketball, soccer, swimming, volleyball, softball).
 Developed procedures for complete operation of all recreation facilities including the
gymnasium and swimming pool, including all scheduling, programming and staffing.
 Responsible for the overall recreation budget, specifically the ordering of equipment and
supplies necessary for a twelve month recreation program.
 Responsible for the care of all recreation equipment used and all non-recreation
equipment and facilities used by the recreation staff.
 Arrange for visiting special guests and for visiting volunteer ventures to local hospitals and
agencies.
 Develop communications with all other public and private schools and/or recreation
departments or agencies.
 Served as a liaison between the Devereux Glenholme Recreation Program and the
Connecticut Recreation and Park Association.
 Recruitment of full and part-time therapeutic recreation staff.
