The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning 2014 Fall Convocation Teaching & Learning Fair Thursday, August 21, 2014 Guidelines and Registration Form CETL is very pleased to announce our Fourth Annual Teaching & Learning Fair 2014!! The Teaching & Learning Fair (Thursday, August 21) is an opportunity for all of you to share with your colleagues what you have pursued and learned during 2013-2014, what you are proud of, what you have been recognized for, or what you will have included in your professional development processes in the form of posters, demonstrations and/or displays. Walking around at the fair, you can enjoy lunch and interact with your colleagues to learn more about their accomplishments. If you like a project, sign up to explore the topic fully at a workshop later during the school year. Examples of what you could include in your display, posters, or demonstrations: Course syllabi, materials, etc. in which you included innovative teaching/learning strategies such as collaborative learning, multi-media, social media, service learning, field trips and internships, simulations, science and other demonstrations, projects, etc., Program level activities and innovations, assessments, interdisciplinary projects, opportunities for student involvement, Advising, and activities related to university and community service, Cross-disciplinary, interdisciplinary and cross-institutional collaborations, Research activities, findings, patents, undergraduate or graduate research, Scholarship and creative projects, music and art projects and demonstrations, books, articles published, web-pages, etc., Technology initiatives in teaching and learning, Grant funded activities: professional development grants, external grants, internal grants, travel grants, etc., Co-curricular programs, residence life projects, student development projects, etc., and Student work samples, documents, etc. related to all or some of the above. All faculty and staff are invited to participate and register. The following faculty and staff members are required to complete the registration form as part of your commitment to the activities sponsored by CETL and the Office of the Provost.
