Based on the request for proposals, explain how you will develop a Goal Area assessment plan for this
LEAP. Please focus on the following elements:
1) Describe how you will work with non-LEAP faculty members who teach in the Goal Area as you
develop this assessment plan; how do you plan to their maximize buy-in and eventual participation in its
use?
2) Describe anticipated obstacles and how this assessment plan will address those obstacles.
3) Provide a timeline of key activities and checkpoints.
4) Provide a detailed budget justification. Grant awards cannot exceed $2,000.
Payment for duty days is contingent upon completion of the assessment project and receipt of a report by
May 16, 2011. The report must include an analysis of how well the project goals were met and how the
project contributes to program assessment efforts.
Grant recipients will be given an opportunity to present the results of their projects during a faculty
development day in the 2011-2012 academic year.
Print a copy of this proposal form and deliver it to the University
Assessment Office, Miller Center 310C, by noon on Monday, January 24,
2011. Please allow sufficient time to obtain the required signatures.
