On April 26, 2013, Dr. Juan Iglesias, Chair and Associate
Professor of the Computer and Information Sciences Department,
gave a presentation titled “High Definition Visualization the
Novus Way”. In his presentation Dr. Iglesias discussed about
NOVUS, the high definition visualization at UT-Brownsville that
uses an approach consisting of GPU high performance computing. Dr.
Iglesias’ presentation concludes a successful series of
mathematics and computer science seminars held during the spring
semester of 2013 as part of UTB’s PPOHA project sponsored by US
Department of Education.
