All student teachers are required to submit proof of a valid negative TB screening/test
and submit to fingerprinting/background check in accordance with Spotsylvania County
Schools' Policy IICC. There is no charge to the student for the background check. This
must be done prior to them beginning their student teaching assignment on one of the
following dates: December 6, December 20, 2012, or January 3, 2013 between 2:00 p.m.
and 4:00 p.m. Please have the student call the Office of Human Resources and ask to
speak with me, Teresa McDonnel, to schedule the appointment at 540-834-2500, x1500.
In addition, the student should review the attached Confidentiality PowerPoint and sign
the agreement. The TB and Confidentiality forms can be turned in to the Office of
Human Resources when they come in for fingerprinting.
