INVITATION TO FREE LECTURE AND POETRY READING WITH MARILYN BOWERING Marilyn Bowering will deliver the ANNE SZUMIGALSKI MEMORIAL LECTURE, titled RE-DISCOVERING ANCIENT SPRINGS: A CONSIDERATION OF METAPHORICAL SPACE on Friday, March 19, 7:00 PM, at the University of Winnipeg, Convocation Hall (in Wesley Hall at 515 Portage Avenue). Prairie Fire, one of Canada¹s leading literary magazines, and the University of Winnipeg are honoured to present award-winnipeg poet and novelist Marilyn Bowering. She is the author of numerous books and has travelled extensively. She claims that having been born and raised in Winnipeg has informed much of the cultural overall themes of her fiction. Bowering will deliver her free lecture on Friday, March 19, 7:00 PM at the University of Winnipeg, Convocation Hall (in Wesley Hall at 515 Portage Avenue). She will also be reading her poetry on the evening of March 20, 7:00 PM at McNally Robinson Booksellers. This event is in celebration of World Poetry Day and also features local author Dennis Cooley.
