Manitoba Institute of Cell Biology Merit Award
Purpose: To recognize the outstanding contributions of a research associate, technician, support staff
and/or administrative staff at MICB.
Criteria: A nominated individual should have shown outstanding contribution to research, going beyond
their expected duties, enhancing productivity, and/or promoting excellence at MICB.
Award: There will be a minimum of one award this year with a cash prize and an engraved plaque on
display in MICB.
Nomination form: Please email Cecile Verrier (Cecile.Verrier@med.umanitoba.ca) or place nominations
in her mailbox. The nomination needs the nominator’s name, the nominee’s name, and one paragraph
outlining why this person deserves this award based upon the criteria listed above. Applications are
limited to one nomination per nominator. Applications are accepted from everyone at MICB including
trainees.
Award Committee: A committee of Senior Scientists at MICB will judge the nominations and select the
deserving individual(s).
Award announcement: The award will be announced on June 20th at the State of the Institute talk
