Seed of the Year – Scholarship 2015/2016
Scholarship Details
Seed of the Year Scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in plant breeding or genetics at a graduate or PhD
level. One recipient will be selected from one of the following Western Canadian Universities: University of
Alberta, University of Manitoba, or University of Saskatchewan. Two applications will be submitted from each
university for consideration. One scholarship will be selected from the six submitted.
Scholarship amount for 2015/2016: $4,000
Application deadline: 4:00 pm October 9, 2015

Academic record – past two years
2.
Two letters of recommendation
3.
Resume or letter outlining education, work history, and extracurricular activities
4.
Winner agrees to allow the use of name and photo for news releases
